I’m happy because even though a dog’s bark is so annoying and painful to the ears, sometimes it is so worth it ’cause you know that something is up. 

they’re basically warning you something is approaching the house, or you’ve got mail, or you’re getting an unexpected guest.it’s like a free alarm system but better ’cause their range of detecting things is so much wider. Dogs are truly and completely loving. that whole spiel about unconditional love that I thought was a hallmark cliche of dogs is absolutely not just a hallmark cliche. Once you get past that initial puppy volatile stage, then you see more of how they are truly the most patient and loving creatures. If you ever feel like you wished humanity needs help in that department, just look at a dog and you will no doubt be inspired.
