our snowy flakes

so snowy and beautiful today, its march but it feels like Christmas! the rate at which the snowflakes fall taking their time to reach the ground twirling as long as they can in the middle of the air. touching everything they can before they make their final descent. and they don’t know. they don’t know that there is a ground. that they’ll melt one day. they don’t need to. they dance in the wind and they float in the calm, and they have each other. so many of each other. they giggle and play and share jokes and sing away. they reach everything in their way. they’re not cold no not they. they have one another and together they swarm as they warm even in these cool days. once they finally rest they still have time on their chests as they gently take in the breeze. they collide at the bottom of the ground until so many of them make up a tall stand. and they’re hugging together for such a long time that they make this beautiful band. they don’t mind. they will be like this forever this time. even though one day they’ll disappear. but where will they go, we don’t even know, they’ll still be part of the air.
